About Issue 001

The Magazine’s first issue will be an introduction to subculture and place, two major themes of the Chimera Mag. Every issue will pose the question, “how do the arts effect the culture of a place?” each time through the lense of a new artist and a new sect of subculture. The publication is a platform for creatives to test content, products, and ideas on a platform that connects likeminded multidisciplinary talent.

Issue 1 should set the tone for New Orleans, highlighting its unique music and entertainment scene while presenting a new standard for popular art in the city. We will also explore the relationship between past influences and current artistic experimentation to create connnections that give unique insight into how music has developed in the city over time.
